Welcome to Chris' shed. Chris C. is REMLR member 179. Each of Chris' ex-Army Land-Rovers has it's own photo page to record the restoration work:
Number 2: Trannie
"Trannie was purchased from Gold City Land-Rover in Gympie in June 2003 by Eric (REMLR 169). According to Gold City Land-Rover, this F.F.T. had been a farm vehicle in Gympie for the previous 7 years, but the ownership history before that is unknown. Trannie as Eric and Gary named it, was driven from Gympie to Bundaberg and parked in Eric's backyard amongst all his other Landy's. Trannie was offered to me several months later and I could not resist: I brought it and took it home in September 2003.
"A guess at when Trannie entered service is indicated by a delivery/warranty plate affixed to the Land-Rover lhs dash with the details stamped into the steel. The details are as follows:
1/2/1968 [ delivery into service - warranty begins ] "I'm taking pics at various stages and making a record of everything that is being done and when it happens. I will send you some more photos soon as jobs get done..."
