Cheap Windows - New for Mk 3

Hi Diana,  et al,  I have been able to obtain 10 of window glass - Now the challenge is to interpret the numbers on the packaging for the windows - 859063-R1    251066018 7946     42410056  date? 5-8-84.  If you are 99% sure they are side windows that's a certainty for me!  Question one is will they fit F1 as well as Mk3 inters? 

I have organized to pay Ralph and will liaise with him and you as to what is the most convenient for all as regards pick up - he is not in a hurry and is very easy to get along with as you know. 

My next challenge is to source the main front window mounting rubbers for both front windows as mine are very perished.  These are the holding rubbers to mount the glass into the frame.  Opps    forgot to mention  - this is for the F1 project not the Mk 3.  Question 2  - Any suppliers for these glass mounting rubbers anyone might suggest I contact?  I have located supplies of new door to cabin sealing rubbers and front opening windscreen sealing rubbers from Clark Rubber.  I am really impressed by your Mk3 too Diana.

Does anyone know if Frank will be going to Corowa?

I need to load my Mk3 onto the S-line this weekend and want to know if I need to also load the 10 side screens that Frank purchased.

Otherwise is there someone who would be prepared to carry 10 glass screens closer to Portland Vic for Frank to pick up?

Bring them to Corowa.
I regularly travel so close to Portland I could just about toss them to him. Maybe it will be a good excuse to pop in for a cuppa.

Frank also purchased a Mk3 front screen from Hilton, however Hilton won't be in Corowa this year.  The result I'll be running up to Colo Heights to pick up Frank's screen, so it anyone else needs a Mk3 front screen, best contact Hilton to arrange it I'll likely go up there tomorrow.

By side screens, are you referring to the little quarter panel windows on the doors?
I could do with a couple of those. Mine are rusted up.

The quarter windows were always very expensive from Inter,and include a fair bit inside the door.I had a lot of both AB/C/D line quarters both sides and ACCO quarters both sides.I was asking $100 each,which was less than half the IH price.They are not easy to install,and there were complaints about the price.Then a guy turned up and wanted the lot,at my price.I said I was keeping a set for my D line,he said "no I must have the lot".Cash money and off they went.Dunno who,dunno why.By the way ,the door glasses and winder are the same as the "straight door" commercial ACCO,and probably the same as the "step door"69on truck.I might add that Mk3 windshields are not strictly reversible as two different thicknesses of glass are used,in the laminate.Actually ,things are looking on the Inter scene,I have managed to stall the council,and the price of scrap steel is climbing towards $200 a ton.Regards John.

I drove up to Hilton's today, had a brew and picked up your screen so it will be loaded tomorrow for the trip to Corowa (it'll be a double or maybe triple Inter load, Mk3, S-line semi and probably another Mk4/F1 so your parts will be in good company).

I won't arrive till Thursday but will be at Bindaree with "The Booger" if Scott or Mick are available for the pickup.
