6x6
« on: May 11, 2016, 05:06:27 PM »
G,day everyone I am new to the forum and have just bought a 6x6 Perentie, its a great vehicle except for the bottoms of the doors and in the corners of the door frame around the welds are rusted out. I am hoping that others have experienced the same problem as me? as I am unsure how to weld in new metal, as the frame appears to be attached to the panels. Any help or advice of what others have done would be great. Cheers Jones

I think they are the same doors as a civvy 110.
Maybe you could get a set of those. There also may be some spare doors in the latest auction.

Easier than welding.

Same as Defender doors. Usually rust repairs involve prying the door skin off before welding; it's a pain but far from impossible.

Thanks for your replies  :D, has anyone else done a similar repair? I assume this is a common problem as I have seen a few like it?
