The workers at Graysonline have mentioned that there have been about 10 Perenties per auction going to the UK recently.  Perhaps these are them.

Get your dollars ready the Pommys are quiet prepared to pay for special Land Rovers.

Just a couple of pictures of my Perentie FFR  that I have just imported from Australia !

Just in the process of getting it road registered  & getting Single Vehicle Approval for use in the UK.

Interesting to read Juddy's post about importing into the UK

He forgot to mention the 20% UK VAT ,20% UK Import  Duty ,Storage Charges While Waiting For An Export-Import Certificate/Documents & Defence Dept Approvals.

As Having Gone Through The Process of Importing The Vehicle - 10K profit is way off the mark!

Well pleased with the Landrover -so much better than our normally aspirated 2.5d 110 Landrover Defenders.

what I hate is that they have soo much there to buy all ready. I was at the war and peace show 10 years ago and they had lots and lots of Australian bren guns at 300pounds in the box. and yes I want to live there.

Definitely got a grin on my face when we unloaded the container as only seen the pictures online

Chassis and bulkhead are like brand new with the rest of the vehicle not far behind .
Hopefully be road registered in the UK next week as going for Single vehicle approval test on Thursday .
Just need some  Aussie sunshine to go with the vehicle !

Did you purchase sight unseen or have someone inspect prior?
If unseen, congratulations, it seems you scored a rebuilt vehicle.
Rebuilt doesn't mean new everything, but only what wasn't serviceable or would become so in the near future.

I am curious about the single vehicle approval, I know only a little about it after watching one of the scrapheap challenges, but as it is a regular production vehicle how come it still needs to go through it (although I suppose it was built to meet Australian, not UK regulations)

Thats very true I did not mention VAT etc, But I am sure you charge VAT when you sell them, so swings and roundabouts.  My profit estimate was just that, if I get that then I must have done something right.

Anyway good to see some over there will be Interesting to see how the market takes them, One thing I think is a must for them over there is a Turbo.....

Bought the perentie unseen did not have the benefit of someone look it over ,which made it a long  12 week wait before it landed back in the uk!
Looking at the pictures online difficult to see how bad or good the land rovers are in the flesh ,certainly looks like Grays do some cosmetic work on the land rovers  prior to sale and pictures . Which makes it a bit of a lottery obtaining a good perentie .

Sva tests in the uk now changed to single vehicle approval is for vehicles not build to European specfication and has no certificated of European conformity .
Need this to get the vehicle road registered and obtain a uk registration number ,which hopefully if passes will get tomorrow .
Thinking would love to bring a 6x6 back to the uk maybe the next purchase
Maybe be a trip over to view as second time might not be so lucky !,
Will fill in the form regarding chassis number

Buying unseen can be very difficult, a lot of people don't go and Inspect for a variety of reasons, and then get something thats worse than they thought, but saying that you can also get a good one. One reason we have them Inspected, and pick the best ones.

SVA, would not the Perentie get automatic approval? its just a land rover 110?

Its those little things that can add to the price, good condition vehicle, poor canvas, thats another $1600, etc etc
