Yes I saw them today.
Next months offering.
Maybe my girl is out there.
Lastest I tell was she had been stripped of bits to keep others going.
Might have to do a site inspection..

Mates at Palmer might be pulling my leg but I knew she had gearbox issues last time she was out so may have come back and been deemed not worth repairing. The contractor in WA rebuilding boxes contract ran out almost 2 years ago and all spares were returned for disposal.

I was surprised to see some of the results, someone plonked $16109 ($18703 incl GST and auction fee) on an 1988 FFR w/out winch.

Quick check of the perth arn's, I haven't worked with any of those.

Genuinely expected one of these would have been on my list.

Some more Pilbara RSFVs in WA, but I have a question.

Have any trailers (No5, Haulmark, Cooks, etc) ever been painted to match with the Pilbara scheme? We have seen a good number of trailers come through the auctions over the past couple of years, but I don't recall yet seeing one in a Pilbara scheme.

I can see that a trailer would increase carrying capacity for an extended stay out in the scrub. With the gear hanging off the back of the RFSVs though, were trailers ever a practical option for bush manoevering and articulation?  And if they are not suited for trailer usage, why haven't the pintle hooks been removed like the Ambulances and Gunbuggies?

When I had my Rfsv when towing my haulmark it would occasionally hit in the drawbar when turning through gulleys. My srv is worse but I have now raised the spare tyre rack up 75mm. Much better. I do think the Rfsv towed boat trailers though in service. Best to ask Dave

When I bought my Haulmark PT1 1.2 in 2010 there were 2 other trailers at the same sale with significantly bent A frames and since the current disposal program started there have been a number in the catalogues with bent A frames so this was always a problem.

It's important not to jack-knife this type of trailer when reversing.

(Still prefer the Haulmark over my No.5s)
