I have your pic filed - 48-008 is the GS carried by a RAN Seaking long range chopper in your office poster.

What did the RFSV's go for this time round?

I hear on AULRO that some went for higher than thought money and were not really all that good.

Interestingly - although probably only to me and whoever bought it - 48-008 is wearing its original Training Command and School of Transport TACs in that photo. So at least the first 3 production Perenties went straight to the School of Transport (as 48-010 was sent there originally as well - thanks Mike C). From the auction photos it seems it has retained many original features, which will be nice for the new owner. Hopefully they show up on the forum.

AFM have listed an Isuzu 4BD1T engine ex-6x6 in the next auction, as well as truck sized tyres. Hopefully more spare parts will come through soon!

They also said they are opening showrooms in Adelaide, Darwin, Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, pretty big auction this one!

Engine, depends if its new or used. I would take it no warranty will be offered on it?

The photo shows a used engine but it does say engines, plural. AFM might be onto some good money if the truck, generator and marine 4BD1 operators get wind of the sale.

definitely doesn't look like a new engine. Who knows what condition it is in - possibly even been seized.  You would need to bid to reflect the worst condition seeing as how it cant be started unless they warrant it and that would be extremely unlikely.
