Anyone cruisin' into Minto tomorrow?
Spoke to  Brian from Grays but would like an unbiased eye to look at some of the offerings.

I think you're too late Cliffy, the open days were Saturday, Monday and Tuesday. The auction finishes this afternoon. I plan to attend all the Minto auctions, so if you or anyone else wants me to look over any of the future offerings and take photos I can do so.

I might recall something about the lot you're looking at, but unless it is one of the perentie wrecks it's unlikely.

This one is a bit odd

10/86 build date on compliance plate but it is stamped in by hand, also the numbers are stamped by hand as well ie the 572661

What's going on??

First run of vehicles 8/87

is it a missing IPV reborn?  I'm confused!

regards
Scott

Anyone have any clues about this one?

Anyone have any clues about this one?

"7" number stamp mislaid that day ?

Sorry - I haven't got any serious info about it but it's interesting, the ARN is later in the series, I had a look the other day and it has a bit of rust and the tyres are all sprayed with the letters "RU" - whatever that means - I crossed it off my list.

The VIN is consistent with 1986. I have no idea what it is, but 10/86 is an interesting month...

I could've sworn a 10th digit "B" was '86?

The whole plate is a ring in, and it's not known where it came from.

Grays are trying to wring more money out of the units buy getting their mechanics to replace missing items.
They are also trying to re-construct the non-ops as much as practical.
Makes sense as the sell prices start to drop further.
Yeah I missed the boat on this auction.
Maybe the next one, or the next one, or the next one, or the....

$3,209 for the busted Haulmark 750kg! Wow, I reckon whoever bought that didn't realise it was stuffed. Heck, there was a perfect Cooks on eBay for $1600...

Paste:

www.graysonline.com/lot/0048-5009036/

Into your browser and change the "48" part to whatever lot number you are interested in. The wrecks were 36-50 ish. Most were $1500-3000.
