Perentie 4x4 custom power steering parts

Hi, my first post. Looking for a couple replacement parts for the following custom power steering unit installed on a Perentie carryall:

I have tried reaching out to the seller, but it has been two months now without a response, so I am attempting to cast a wider net. Specifically, I am looking for (1) the power steering return hose and (2) the power steering reservoir. I could make some guesses about the parts, but I thought I would check here first.

The reservoir is either discovery 1 or 2 .   I believe the hoses are custom.

Hi Jonathon, welcome to the forum.

The original factory power steering installation in Australian manufactured civilian and military 110s used the same reservoir. I understand that the hoses require that 90deg fitting for installation in a 110.

Most 4X4 Perenties did not have factory installed power steering, but some models did.

The reservoirs should be available from any LR parts outlet in Oz, eg Karkraft or British Motor Imports (Windsor NSW).

Re the hoses, you may have to either purchase from KLR (tel 61 2 4721 7217) or have them made up at a hydraulic specialist outlet.

Sounds like the reservoir should be pretty easy to find. I've reached out to a hydraulic specialist here in Virginia. I'll follow up when all is said and done. Thank you much for the welcome and quick follow-up, pwillo and dugite.

I can confirm that the reservoir in the link above is the same as the one in my 96 Discovery 1.

When you fit it, I suggest you put something sticky, like a silicone gasket goop, on the barbs where the hoses fit.
Also, get good quality, wide band hose clamps, as every Discovery I have seen has a leak at one or both of these joints.

Sorry for the slow response, Ravvin and Britbobby. I've just enabled notifications so hopefully my responses will be more timely going forward.

Ravvin, yep, the Discovery 1 reservoir did the trick.

Britbobby, thanks for the welcome--East coast to boot! I was looking for the hose for the steering box return to reservoir. The original appeared to be a high compression hose. It's been swapped out for a low pressure hydraulic hose (SR6 SAE 100R6/EN 854 R6).

No leaks yet, but if something pops up, I'll take Ravvin's advice regarding putting goop on the barbs.
