« on: September 09, 2012, 07:43:40 PM »
the front inner flange swivel housing seal that the front axle pass through does it sit flat against the face of the housing or is it set back into the housing the manual does not say or does it not really matter, just wont to make sure i get it right pulling it all apart again would be a real pain.

If you are referring to the large oil seal P3184,then if should sit proud of the housing by 1/8 inch, that is why the retainer is stepped, the seal back is against the retainer which must have a flat screw face,(often distorted by over tightening of the mounting screws)
