Looking on the shelves for a bit of kit for Mike when I found this?

Any ideas?

All information gratefully received.

Could be one for Mike Cecil I think.

I've only come across the term when manfacturers or RAEME 'bore sight' the main gun on a tank.... which i think is aligning the barrel with the gunners/commanders sighting system.

Thanks Pete

I've posted another photograph.

It is marvellous what stuff is around when you look.

Thanks Mate

Seems to be the case: Boresight for the 20-pdr main armament.

You can check that by measuring the mounting ring diameter, which should be a tad less then 84mm.

Tank inspection light actually - could be used to look into any nook, cranny or tank!

If you hadn't asked I wouldn't have found where I hid this stuff!  Can't help with the bracket though!
