Fuel water drain
« on: April 04, 2016, 07:44:16 PM »
Hi all

I went to open the plastic water drain plug on the fuel water trap filter attached to the chassis today. The plug did not want to unscrew and I was at the point where it was about to break off. I didn't want to break it unless I had a spare one handy, so I thought I'd ask what the availability of these little plastic plugs are and where I might get one.

Many Thanks

Jon

Break it off. Twist out the remains and replace with a short metric bolt and copper washer. It's a conventional metric thread, M8 if I remember right.

Or you can undo the bolt on the top and disassemble the whole thing, give it a clean out, then reassemble full of diesel.

EDIT: Assuming of course this is for the Perentie...
