G'day mate.
Pretty mch anything has been done as 'field expedient' mods, but toconvert a Cargo to FFR is no small thing.
Alternater and loom, batteries and racks, and radio mount racks in the rear!
Most commom was simply a sig, a HF radio, a few spare batteries and antenna pack.
This is what I carried for years (in and out of vehicles) and was more than capable once you knew your stuff.
Comms from 100m out to 2000km and more.
Do you have some strange holes in the rear tub?
Cheers, dave.
Kind Regards, Barefoot Dave.

Thanks Dave. No strange holes in mine. I just figured there may have been some basic radio setups used in gs vehicles. Being a ham operator I would like fit a mil radio for the fun of it, and possibly use on the ham bands.

cheers Simon

Only used a 77 for Range comms ;)

There is a whopping 106 set for sale on AULRO, link in the radios for sale section here. Great for punching holes in the ionosphere :)
