I'm glad you said that.. I thought it was just me thinking that was a crazy price.

There is a story behind this vehicle. Owners wife told him that so and so Land Rover Jeep thing you bought has to go so sell it. Husband does as he is told, so he places an add on CarSales and places a ridiculously high price so vehicle doesn't sell. Husband gets to keep his beloved Land Rover. Wife not happy but what's new.

Na the real story is, he paid over the odds from the not so popular john brown Land Rovers.  Probably around 12/15 UK pounds plus his shipping, so he's wanting a 20k profit.

If it was 100% restored and its far from that then it could be worth 15/20 UK, going on recent sales, should also be noted that since land rover decided to end Defender production, prices in the Uk have across the board gone up by 3000 pounds $6000, this not only includes Series 2 and 3's but also early 90 110's so if you have one keep it well looked after.

Never said one was not coming, I said land rover are ending defender production.  Nothing was said about them starting it again.  And it may not even be called a Defender.
