Can anyone advise where to purchase series 2a GS rear axle check straps 1050mm long. The longest I have found is 990mm from British Auto Parts in Melbourne They are to short, I tried them. Has any one purchased new straps for their Ex Army 2a 109.

Just a suggestion, - I am thinking that your suspension is at the lowest point, resting on the shocker and leaf spring limits? In this position the strap doesn't reach? Jack up the lower mount assy and it will fit nicely. I am just refurbing a SWB IIa and had the same problem. 60 mm is the retained distance to limit the spring and axle travel from bottoming out.
