The tires and rims go really good on it. In fact I didn't get it with the original army rims and tires. The previous owner told me he was over it, getting flat tires and fixing the tubes, especially after offroading in the sand. That's why he changed it to tubeless rims and tires.
All the newer civilian Defender run tubeless. Your Perentie will be still roadworthy if you stick to the usual sizes for Defender.
I think you need engineering approval if your tire diameter is 50mm bigger then original size tire of your vehicle.
