Haulmark Mod
« on: August 02, 2015, 08:54:50 AM »
Here are some pics of what I did to civilise (not necessarily civilianise) our Haulmark.

The problem being, that after getting a load of wood there's nowhere to secure the chainsaws.

The cargo carrier would be adaptable to many other uses as well which is why I thought others may find the concept useful.

To permit the drawbar a frame to be used for a deck, the parking brake needs relocation (which required a longer cable for the far side).

Any higher equipment on the a frame needs to be sufficiently forward to permit access to the bow storage.

I used scrap 6mm strip and angle for the deck (yet to be painted O/G).

We used a Rhino cargo box of appropriate size - it has to be carried a little offset to allow for the jockey wheel)

The deck is of sufficient size to be used for a spare instead if needed.

Can only post a limited number of pics will post more in another post.

Nice work!

Is there no way to rearrange the jockey wheel so that the box can sit central? Like have the wheel at the other end, if that makes sense...

Thanks Bad co, it probably would be possible by remounting the jockey wheel further to the rear, but it is the winding radius of the jockey wheel height adjustment that is the problem. How it has turned out works OK in a practical sense.

Great mod and well done on maintaining the military theme.

Call me an old fart  :o but I'd rotate the trunk 180 deg so you don't have to reach over and down too much when getting stuff out.

Cheers  :)

Ah but then you will be on the road side instead of foot path side, compromises!  ;D
