Series 2A Amp meter
« on: May 28, 2014, 02:44:46 PM »
My 2A does not have one but the new loom I bought needs one. Would prefer a Smiths original but if not available a new Speco ($28.50 on eBay) will probably do.

The AMP meter is located usually in the instrument cluster with the fuel gauge. FFR's  have a separate one on the passengers side on the panel with the map light and this one is a CAV band which is a Smiths top of the range used in Jags and Aston Martins, if you keep an eye on eBay you can find these sometimes. You need the meter which has 0 in the middle there are gauges with 0 on the left side as well if you are not worried about accuracy you could use one of these.
Hope this helps
Cheers
