I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right section as I'm new here. I've just purchased Series 2 Command Recon 1/4 ton truck ARN 110-436 with plans to restore.
I've already found REMLR to be a wealth of info, that and having known "Uncle Ho" for many years.

The truck is fairly complete apart from the tub and skirts and a few other little bits. A replacement tub has already been organised. It's in fairly good shape with not much rust or damage considering its spent most of its life on a cattle property.

Just means they are out there for the finding.
Wouldn't trust that Uncle Ho bloke though.

Welcome to the fold, another S2 C/R, the ARN on my C/R is 110-850, I also have deep skirts when you need them to complete your restoration, ? any images of said machine, cheers Dennis
ps watch out for Uncle Ho he is a shady character LOL ,,. ? does Uncle visit this site, as I've not seen nor heard from him in yonks, he did have a very neat Lightweight until it was involved in an accident,.

I'm happy that the process of getting info, eg your CR's ARN, has gone well. Thats what its all about.

A better example than mine was when I started on 110-850

that was it standing in a wasp infested shed Carinda Nth western NSW, my old mate Graham looking it over, here is an interior shot not much better

and outside ready to drive, yes it started and drove with some know how

I drove it in low range onto the trailer, we drove over the to the property dump and promptly dumped all the crap out of the back of it' this is what it looks like today

I  must have not posted what I had written before about 110-850, it was a basket case, I had bought it sight unseen apart from 2 images that my son took for me, it was an exasperating task especially with panel damage to the tub etc, I don't think I would have the get n go to attempt another restoration, although if you lived close by I would come over n help, anyway mate good luck with your project, cheers Dennis

I understand what your talking about with basket cases, the 86" series one sitting next to 110-436 is called just that "basket case". A longer term restoration project that most people would balk at.

Uncle Ho came around yesterday arvo to cast his eyes over my pile of parts, he seemed a little excited at how original, complete and in molested it is. He answered a few questions but pondered some others.
