Front end vibration Perentie
« on: March 14, 2024, 08:25:35 PM »
I get a severe vibration in the front axle when between 80 and 95 k's. Has anyone had this problem? I've replaced the steering damper with no change.

The vibration or "death wobble" is a well known thing in these vehicles and in fact a lot of live axle 4wd vehicles. There are lots of things that cause it including wheel balancing, wheel bearings loose, panhard rod bushes, steering damper, radius rod bushes etc but the main culprit is usually the swivel housing preload. Check the easy ones first and just go through the process of elimination. Have fun!

Thanks. I'll get started. Already did the steering damper.
