The Registry Of Ex-Military Land-Rovers Au, NZ, etc Land-Rover Series 3 ¾ Ton FFR

Welcome to Gary's shed.

Gary T. is REMLR member 177, located near Bundaberg Queensland. Gary calls his FFR Roo and he is restoring it to a high standard...

"Roo was purchased from a Police Officer here in Bundaberg and it was in desperate need of attention. When purchased it was fitted with a civvy style ute hardtop and did not have aerial mounts or any black out lights. But it did have a winch, pintle hook, and all air lift and garden tool fittings. The first step was a repaint as the original cam scheme was falling off all over the vehicle so Roo was painted again before Anzac Day 2004.

"Many new parts have been fitted during this time to get the vehicle up to scratch. The dash and all seating have been recovered in Auscam BDCP canvas material and the new Auscam Soft Top have been fitted. As you can see this canvas is a FFR canvas. I might add that somewhere on REMLR I have read about having to fold a spare inch of these Auscam type canvas's before fitting them to 109's. I have not had to do this and the 110" canvas is a perfect fit.

"Many thanks must go to Eric (mem no. 169) for finding the Aerial Mounts and the one Aerial that I do have and for lots of other help... and to Chris (mem no. 179) just for being one of the gang up this way. Hope to see you all on the road someday."

Well the result is one gorgeous Land-Rover! Looks brand-new.
