from 1999 the airforce started to increase thier vehicle fleet in particular lr fleet except for specialised units ie adg and raaftus ie parakeet 38and 35 sq who also had 2 suzuki jimmies vehicles most raaf units had a few mainly for driver trainer after 1989 the airforce went out and bought civil variants pf the defender for working dog teams. they were not part of the perentile fleet they were just cl vehicles.the army was responsible for both 110 and the unimogs 1750 the airforce had (RPS and fleet management the unimogs the airforce held were a different model because they were bought after th army contract had been finalised.adg had the bulk of them with both 35 38 sq had a couple and 1 cls in tville had some and base sq amb had 1 for driver trainingand and specialised units. after the reorg in 1999-2000 to ecss they upgraded the fleet to include of the shelf Macks scania as did the army
