The rear of Anthony wksp is very similar to the photo the Tommy posted up so could it be the same unit 1st Sig Regiment and wksp (Royal Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers) based in Enoggerra army base Brisbane.

and rear of mine ( it lift up)

ps a photo of what anthony rear should look like when restored with it s3 jerry can holders back on. the originals where unsalvageable

Cheers greg

The reason all of the hardtop workshops are listed as REMLR owned is because the aarmy didn't note or record them as they were basically unit mods, not oficial ones.  so the hardtop information comes from spotted known vehicles.

Although this photo shows the rear door from a Workshop trailer, the door on the vehicle in the original photo would have been identical. Left hand hinged central door with side panels.

That trailer Tommy also has the rear end hinged. The whole rear wall opens up, aswell as the door.

wksp units modified the veh because they didnot have textile workers on estab and had to be return to base wksp for repair. it was quicker to modifify inhouse and draw req through the supply system prior to DUF direct unit funds. the material was either metal or bondwood. MP modified their  rovers with arc mesh floor matting
