DNSDC. Does it still mean Don' Know stuff, Don' care? Or have they got something better for it now?
Defence National Storage and Distribution Centre.

Those in the military will be aware of the abbreviation.  But I like your variant!  8)

I've not yet called "Bushies" for a cost on their lunettes as I was away last week with limited phone/internet.

I'll give them a call tomorrow if I get time and report back on their price.

I can tell you that info.....they are asking $300 for the lunettes. They were to get back to me with a price on a pintle but I've not heard back. Mind you. things are a bit wild up their way ATM

Hi David,

I managed to secure one from Vixen.

It arrived here a couple weeks ago, yet I've been quite busy and only just opened the package a couple days ago.

It has a recessed washer acting as a stopper to keep it from rotating fully, so I presume I need to remove that in order to make it rotate 360 degrees as I have a fixed pintle/ball hitch?

Regards,
Ross.

HI,

Correct is to have the pintle hook rotating and the ring with the lock washer on it so it doesn't fully rotate, but most importantly don't have both rotating as they can lock together if turning/reversing (or jack knifing) a tight corner and can't unlock them while driving - could be a problem!

Cheers

Hi Scott,

Yes, I'm aware that it's deemed proper to have the pintle rotating and the ring fixed by the lock washer.

In my case it will have to be the other way around as I have a pintle hook/ball combo, and it doesn't rotate, so I have to bolt that directly onto whatever plate adaptor I get made, and will remove the locking washer and let the ring rotate.

Is this acceptable?

Regards,
Ross.

Ok understand, the washer can be fitted so that you get 270 degree rotation which is plenty, otherwise you will need a washer without the lug on it to act as a spacer...

Cheers

Thanks Scott,

Just ran out and had a quick look at mine and it rotates just a whisker past 90 degrees.

Will look at my options more closely when it comes time to fit it.

Thanks again.
