Yes, only one more auction to be held in Sydney. Grays are no longer the auction house for AFM and Pickles have taken over.
Cheers, Rob

So, just to clear up the potential inconsistencies, do you know if this definitely means that there will be no more AFM disposal auctions from Sydney after this next one ?

Or, in fact do you know if it is just a change of auctioneers for AFM ?

Hi,

I received an email from AFM, see below.

We're excited to announce that Australian Frontline Machinery is making some changes, and we wanted you to be the first to know about it!

From August 2019, all Australian Frontline Machinery auctions will now be facilitated by Pickles. For more information about our new auction partner, please visit:

Our site in Minto, Sydney will host its last auction in August, as from October 2019, Australian Frontline Machinery auctions will be based in Bandiana (Albury/Wodonga). Whilst we're sad to say good-bye to our Minto site after six fantastic years, we're moving so that we can provide the best service and largest range of ex-Defence assets to our customers. Moving to Bandiana will allow us to auction a greater variety and volume of ex-Defence assets - faster.

What else is changing? Not a lot! Australian Frontline Machinery will still be the exclusive reseller of ex-Defence assets. We hope you're as excited about these changes as we are and thank you for your continued support.

As always if you have any questions, please feel free to contacts us.

- Australian Frontline Machinery

Cheers 84

Lot 29, a FFR "with chassis damage and low range gearbox issue" has a 'Add Extra 81,601km' sticker on the odometer.  Thats a new feature...

The RFSV like the later AFM ones has had the front lift points removed.  Unfortunately even though it is a shame they are cut off it is a bigger shame that Pickles don't seem to do the job as well, as it is a straight vertical cut quite close to the lift hole, unlike the nice rounded cuts AFM did.

It is also a shame that Pickles don't seem to advise the ARN in the auction details.  You can see the VIN, but as many of the RFSV's are not on the REMLR database it is not possible to look up the ARN.  The chassis number looks like SALLDHAZ177474401 but I could be reading it wrong, is it possible to see what the ARN is somewhere?

Most of the recovery/lift point cutting is done at Bandiana by Defence. Minto have done some in the past though.

Hi David

RFSV - ARN for lot 26 at Pickles is 51-639.   It is on the first page listing in the sale after CP details.  The ARN is there for all the vehicles but it takes a bit of looking!

Thanks STDIVER, I can see the ARN now.

The REMLR database for the RFSV 51-639 shows
Quote
Archive Photo, Ambulance Conversion. 2010, No longer converted?? Archive Photo, 1/15 Royal NSW Lancers 2010. LCPV ??

Whilst I am not buying just interested, (I am very happy with RFSV 50-417, and don't need another,) I wouldn't mind seeing the photo if it could be posted up.

David

Gidday Eric - go back to the previous page or main page for the auction and it is in the side description - I will try and attach a screen capture of the page!

I wish they made it easier to find things as I was comfortable navigating around Gray's site.  I will just have toi adapt and overcome.

Cheers STDDIVER

I don't know if there is now an easy way of recording results, but the RFSVs appeared to sell @ $33,500 for the early one and @ $36,500 for the low kilo one. Each price is plus buyers' fees - now somewhat reduced as I think GST is maybe included in the sale price?
