Holding onto Perentie fleet due to faulty G- wagons has been speculated for some time.

AFM and Graysonline are not worried about prices. What does not sell goes to scrap metal.

My damaged Perentie on ebay has had over 1700 hits, there will be no lack of interest due to post Christmas shopping-- of course looking and buying are different things.

I noticed that Frontline Machinery no longer show the hardtop carryall wagon in the list of all 4x4 types. Does this mean they are through the remaining stocks?

Most went in 2013.

I think there is one missing 49-174?

Do the ARN lists not get updated regularly? Still showing 16 or so not disposed of.

The list is automatically populates from the database, so as soon as I 9or anybody ) makes a change it carries through to those tables.  you can tell which pages do that because they are a .php page instead of a .html page

That said, remember some would be wrecks, but the senior commander and personell carrier are two different, but similar, models.

When is an auction, not an auction....
Is it just me, or do the ADF / AFM / Gray's alliance appear to be very spooked by the asbestos hoodoo??

I ask this as it appears we just lost another auction that was to be held by Gray's, at Moorebank.   Scheduled to end on the 25th Feb, this auction, for those that didn't see it, was advertised on Gray's and suddenly disappeared.   From the auction page, it seems that they had at least one Inter 6x6 and a workshop trailer that had been converted to something else?, up for grabs.   I'm presuming that the Inters had a higher percentage of asbestos in them than the Landy fleet?

Would love to hear a response to this from someone anyone in 'authority'.   It's about time they dropped the smoke and mirrors routine and informed us of what's going down.

Cheers,
Daryl the mushroom.

ummm... those two probably weren't part of the vehicle disposal program ....

I think they were just excess to the SME Museum (?)...Anyways... different fleet/disposal manager etc.

Fingers crossed another museum put their hand up for them, but who knows  :)

I guess that's what my point is Pete, that we don't know.   These things are cancelled without regard to the people that support the system.   Seems a tad sus to me.

The 110 firewalls were pulled from the auction with the other auction mob to, very disappointed about that had been looking forward to the auction start got home from work and they were gone??, must be packed full of asbestos to!!. might have to give up on the 110's and get back to rebuilding ex Army series 2A's.

A bit of concrete info from the auction houses or whoever is in charge would be appreciated.

The plot thickens ..... the suspense is killing me!!

I mentioned elsewhere that AFM called me about the asbestos / PU paint issue.  It was not AFM but defence that had insisted on the information discemination.

It was mentioned that there were sme minor issues of supply, but nothing that would hold up the auctions for too long.  Has anybody called AFM to ask? I've not had hte time, I started a new job last week.
