Must be people who have bought my book!
 ;)
My money is on the canvas from the other being swapped for the canvas on this rebuild.
My opinion is this W'Mission kit is loaded up to push the 'RFSV'average price higher.
Kind Regards, Barefoot Dave.
Reunited with my old mate, RFSV 51 680, 'Sleazy'!!

Went to Melbourne today for inspection the worry is the type of people looking, my summary is:

I recon they'll all go too dear - plenty of DH's looking today that just want a bush basher, they'd start them up with hand throttle all they way in, cold as and they wouldn't idle smooth so you'd hear them say oh that needs a tune up - another one wouldn't start because they didn't glow the plugs - they recon they flooded it by pulling the choke out ie the hand throttle! go figure........do they really kow what they are looking at?

Mostly poor to average condition, definately moving the lower end out first.

The RFSV Lot 9 and 10 both looked about the same, good honest vehicles - make the jerry cans expensive on Lot 10

cheers

I actually took a different view.  There were a lot more people at today's "open for inspection"  while most will only have seen the Perenties for the first time today and don't have the wealth of knowledge you have.  I showed a few people today how to start the Perenties correctly and they had plenty of questions.

I think the pick of the crop was the 6x6,  if anyone is interested this one looks in new condition right through, the whole vehicle a great example of one that has little use.

HI, yeah I helped out a few as well, helped one bloke for about half an hour and gave him a run down on the vehicle he was keen on. Plenty of others didn't know what to look for but kept to themselves - just hope for their sake they don't buy something they are disappointed in when they take it home and get a RWC

cheers
