Congratulations Dervish and welcome to REMLR.
Are you aware that you have purchased Perentie #10 supplied to the Army?

It seems that it has new rear quarter panels or tub, as it is missing the hasp and staple latch from the CES (storage) bins on the side.
Near new canopy, worth $1300.

Enjoy!
BDave

Thanks Dave,

I was aware that this is Perentie #10 - thanks to your excellent guide, actually. That is what first drew me to this particular unit - as well as the unusual auscam and good canvas. I had noticed that it is missing the three larger canvas tie-down points along the top of the tub, but I hadn't noticed anything else missing?  :-\

Welcome. I think you got one of the best buys of this auction. I thought of putting a bib in on this vehicle but I decided not to as I want a ffr. Enjoy the vehicle.
Cheers Rod

Thanks Rod, I'm pretty chuffed with it. I was originally going to hang out for a RFSV, but I don't think prices were going to fall any time soon and realistically when I go touring I'm going to take the Defender anyway (so the nice bits would be wasted on me). So I have a dead simple no-nonsense GS - suits me down to the ground.

So, does anyone know why it has irregular camo?

Cheers,
Matt

Matt

The camo paint on your 010 looks fairly fresh and untouched. It also looks very neat (unlike many army Land Rover schemes) :). If Dave is correct in saying the tub appears to be a replacement, the pattern may be the work of an aspiring decorator/spray painter when repainting the entire vehicle. The canopy also looks to be new so maybe the vehicle has had a makeover.

I notice that there are a few scratches on your Landy. By the looks of it, there is white paint exposed under these scratches. Is this correct?

There was another parted out vehicle in the recent auctions with the skin from one side of the tub removed, perhaps it was parted out to repair those one, and repainted by AFM ??

Due to working, I missed what the wrecks went for.

Do we have a prices?

And anyone on here bought one?

If we get any in QLD would be worth buying one for spares up here.

Hi all

I think would be a good Idea to buy one wreck to have for spare parts, i do not know how many members are in nsw but i think will be just a small donation from every one, or my be approach the army or the sellers as a club who want to preserve the vehicles and need parts for the members military vehicles

It probably would be.   Do want to claim it as a tax deduction ???  sounds fair.

Juddy, average preice was $2000 except a Tenix FFR that appears to be a customs clean with minor damage to the LH wing.
It went for nearly $6K

Gday , I got one of the two 4 door hard tops at the xmas auction in Adelaide. Thanks to a few members on AULRO for more info. Mine was advertised as a Personnel Carrier but seems it might be a Senior Commander. A quick 39 hr drive back to Perth was uneventful except for a loose fanbelt and the tropical roof wanting to stay in South Aus. Unfortunately no GM120 or CES. There is a small fuel leak near pump, dripping on front diff - any ideas? Apart from that she drives like a dream. 89 000 km supposedly with no 120 to check but seems feasible with overall condition. Over the pits on Monday - fingers crossed. Are there any issues other West Aussies have had with licensing? Thanks. Paul

I am hoping for a Perth auction soon so I may get a wreck or two for parts or to build up a soft top.

Stephen

There are no 6x6 LRPVs left in Perth (apart from the 3 retained by the SASR for display purposes). They have been sent east to be used by commando units.

Stephen, if and when, I would bet Sydney.
With East coast market more cashed up and high international interest a close international port is important.
Stuarts intel has the LRPVs coming to Cdo in Sydney.
It is not inconceivable that they may be passed onto Inf/Armour/Cav recon after being replaced by Hawkei.
Plan Beersheba is also muddying the waters of my scrying pond!
I think you might be guessing by now, the expected release date isn't anytime soon.
Start filling a bucket with your loose change and you will still have time to save up ;-)
To fill the gap, I have plans afoot.......
