I have quite a few in service pics of this wagon 48-360, it used to be with the reserve unit at Orange NSW, if somebody buys it i would be happy to email them the pics.

Correct, it stays open as long as there id activity in the previous 10 minutes, so it is a way to manage multiple item bidding with what appears to be the same end time.

cheers

Patience will be the order of the day to get value!
Let the dealers grab the early ones and when they relise that we won't pay their exorbitant prices they might give up and go back to the JAP models.

Our intent is to keep these for history within reason, not just to flog the crap out of them on the beach or make into a Soccer Mums Taxi!!!

Are you talking about the lack of the locking tab or the bracket that holds them?

If yes, what is the problem????

That is a standard 1980s specification for the ADF.  Dixon Bate had to make them as a special contract.

I was talking about the bottom Jaw, its not on any of the pintles, thus the Pintle will always spin round.

Is this a problem ::), no idea, I suppose it depends if you want your pintle to spin all the time, personally I think its stupid, and a jaw should be fitted all the time.  And more so the Pintle locked when not towing.

However D, thanks for the info, I did not know the ADF Perenties came without a lower Jaw, every other army in the world Pintles have the Jaws, maybe a cost cutting thing here.

Juddy, you're got it wrong and this thread is getting off track again!

As Diana said, fully rotating pintles with non fully rotating (fixed) rings was an ADF directive from the early/mid 80's as a decision on safety grounds, as most people know if you have both spinning and if you have the trailer on too great an angle (reversing or going forward) it can lock and not be straightened with potential serious consequences.

No I did not get it wrong, I Interpreted  it in a different way...  But I get what you are saying, it was always left to spin from a safety point of view.

Next auction starting 14th for trucks and trailers.    I note with interest there is 9 semi trailers and a water tanker
available from Acacia Ridge in Brisbane.    The commercial yard in Brisbane already advertising the Rovers will be waiting for
their chance to pounce on some more.  As everyone says, "just be patient"

Or in the case of the six wheel drive ambo.  "Just be a patient ??"  (Oh, I crack me up)
