Well, didn't take long. Some of those Army 110 sold last week have turned up at a Brisbane retailer, Couzins Bros:

... and the Wagon... $26890

As is the 1989 GS!

$26,890 - maybe two years ago they were worth those prices when there were only a few in captivity, but with several thousand more to come, not in my opinion.

Even the actual trials vehicles or the non-trials JRA engineering vehicles wouldn't still have those sorts of prices.

Now we have to start identifying the actual vets, so everyone get your Somalia, Timor Leste, Solomon Islands and Iraq photos out to start getting ARN!

about $6 to $8 grand mark up after you deduct auction fees, GST and transport.

Not too bad then.... Like we have all said, once more and more come up, the prices will drop.  The hard tops will always fetch more money.......

Cant wait to see how much the double cabs go for, do we know how many of these they have?

Off hand,  low twenties... 22 or 24 come to mind (less attrition of course). Disposal will likely not occur for a few years yet.

Now we know who B.L of Rocklea is. One now understands why they bid on everything in the auction. If they sell them it will be a nice little money earner for them. I can't understand why a Motor Stealer would pay the ridiculous amount of money that was paid for vehicles that are at best 25 years old. I would think that my series 2a ffr is now worth $60,000 or more as there is less of them in existence. I also wonder what the tie is between Greys Online and Cousins because watching the Auction take place B.L of Rocklea was trying to outbid any one else who bid, I wonder if it was a ploy to raise prices in the Auction.
It gives some food for thought.
Cheers

I just had a look through the photos of the wagon I don't believe that the 8969km is low km I think it has been around the clock once as the wear an tear looks more than 8969km worth. I will be in brisvegas tomorrow so I will go and have a look.

And if I turned up there to purchase some other POS in the yard, with my civvie 110, 84 model Isuzu with a rebuilt engine ($9,800) they would pull out their little red book and say mate I would be flat out giving you $2,000 trade in, I tend to agree with you Richard, as others come onto the market he could get burnt :).
Most young blokes these days are brainwashed with the BS ads about jap stuff they wouldn't even consider  the Best 4x4 on the planet, cheers Dennis

The problem with an online auction is that we have to choose which items we want and chase them as they all finish at the same time.
Unlke a conventional auction when the price gets to high we stop and start agian on the next one.
I feel that the Auctioneers know this an manipulate the bidding if it is to slow.

I was interested in a couple of the trucks and nothing much happened to them until the day before ( Carrots) and the fact that most of the trucks topped out about the same price.
Not many of us can put a bid out on every truck!
Who is going to by a 25 year old ex army Landrover in basic trim for high Teens to low Twenties, when there are that many low priced 4X4 out there with far more to offer in Luxury and appointments.

Gone are the days when you bought an ex army 4X4 because it was the cheapest way to get one.

Hi Rod,

I don't think any Perenties have been around the clock (6 digits aren't they ??).... not that I've heard of anyway. It could have had a speedo replaced at some point though.

It's a 2nd Division (Army Reserve) vehicle, so may have spent most of it's life getting sun bleached in a compound. This would account for the poor paint, different seat covers and perhaps the low km's.

But... who knows ?

Pete

...
Maybe if you want one we have to get a few mates together sitting at computers in the same room each watching one of the desired items and then you place a bid at the last moment on the best value one.  A bit like a sniping service.
