In Service Photos of 113-211 and Convoy

In the REMLR ARN page, 113-211 is shown as a 1964 Command Reconnaissance. At some stage in it's service life, this CR has received the square cut guard package upgrade.

113-211...88...1964...Series 2A...6005...Truck, Command Reconnaissance, 1/4 Ton...Vic...18.11.71

The second photo shows 113-252 as lead convoy vehicle.

Hi Stuart,

FYI - there is an error in the database showing S2A 88 GS as Command Reconnaissance. It has been reported and will be fixed as time permits.

Great photos, what a find. Whats the story? CMF/ chocky ex somewhere?

... and I had to smile, going shirtless nowadays would set off a OHS lecture session or retraining reports.

Yes, that one is a challenge I have been having in the database, you see census 6005 is both command recon and general service.  So I put the GS as 6005. or 6005.. 

I have done this with a few entries.  Trouble is, when I export and edit in excel, sometimes it takes the following dots off, and makes them all command recons.  I need to get in and correct that set again. Great photos though!

The GS is a confusing classification.

It differentiates all vehicles that have cross country mobility.  e.g. 6006 is "Truck, Utility, Light, G.S. Fitted For Radio" so while a G.S. could mean a standard cargo carrying vehicle it could also be an FFR or an Ambulance etc.

Sorry Carzee but I have no idea about the what, where, why, who etc of these pix :(

By the way, 113-252 is also noted down as a Command Reconnaissance (CR).
