I have really noticed a drop off in postings on the REMLR site. Is it just my imagination or has things dropped off?

Definitely quieter than before. May be due to the Facebook pages starting up? I don't know.
I don't use Facebook, although I have an account so I can use Messenger and the Marketplace. I don't like the fact that if someone posts up some useful information, in a month, its gone.
Here on the forum, we can easily find anything ever posted.
It could also be that people have finished their projects, lost interest, or had other things redirect their life.

Greg.

I agree; doesn't seem to be many of us left anymore.

The same thing can be said for most of the forums I visit though; much less activity than a few years ago.

My theory is: many people enjoy the daily participation in a forum, i.e. they like to chat frequently. Facebook, Instagram and their kind offer near instant responses ; a multiplicity of opinions, answers and good and bad responses. Forums such as REMLR relied on an answer, or response, maybe the next day, if all went well.

More people want the answer now and they want it easily accessible on their phone.

Have to agree also, I log in here and have a look nearly every day and often there are no posts or just the scammers trying to post their crap.

I generally agree with your comments. Not a facebook fan either. Maybe just getting old! As long as there are a few desperates left out there. Keep posting !!

Yes, I log in regularly although I have had nothing to report in recent times. Has anyone noticed that Landrover wheels complete with tyres are getting heavier or is it just me?
Heartily agree with the negative comments about FB and the fact that anything posted here should be available in the future.
Ravvin, are you doing any work on your Inters? We haven't had a report for a while and they are always interesting

Hello Ravvin,

I fully support Geoff O's comment about your posts always being interesting! Hint ... Hint.

Kind regards

I haven't really been doing much on the truck. Finding it really hard to get any enthusiasm for the job. I think if I can actually get started, I will get back into it.
I have to make a couple of small aluminium spacers for the carby accelerator plungers, which will allow me to start the truck, run the hydraulics to change a blown hose on the Abbey crane then use the crane to refit the winch and transfer case. The tiniest thing. :)
I tried using the replacement plungers that come in the rebuild kits but the shafts are too short. You can't fit the return springs and I'm not cutting them down. Also can't dismantle the new plungers to use the buckets on the shafts I made, but a local car parts place just started stocking a line of replacement bits for Stromberg carbs. I got 2 replacement synthetic buckets for $17, I think it was.
I have 16 days off over Christmas and New Year, so hopefully I'll get back at it then.
Greg.
