I did a little bit work on the Haflinger today, I received a small package of replacement NOS rubber items for a company in Scotland. What a difference the few small replaced items make. I also picked up a NOS mirror, these are quite hard to find I still need one more to put both the side mirrors back on.

Firey,

I see the image you posted of your Haflinger with ARN 101858: have you sold it?  The very same image was just published in the MVPA journal article with the caption 'Rear-mounted shovel seen on Dr. Rick Krassoi's beautifully restored Australian Army Haflinger'.

What's the story? Or has the magazine editor got the captions and images mixed up?

Ahhhh, I see a magazine editor who has his captions mixed up. How easy it is to be led astray....

Thanks for the confirmation.

Hi Mike,

My Haflinger is still tucked away and has not been sold off. I have spoken to Rick many times over the years and sent him plenty of pictures of my vehicle. Is the article in the latest edition of the MVPA magazine? I haven't received mine to date.

Yes, Peter, it is. I recd mine in advance because I was visiting editor Reg in Edmonton, and he's just recd the box of advance copies from the printer.

No doubt yours in 'in the mail' as they say.

Just curious as to what the bolts look like that are securing the towbar... sadly my haffies previous owner was a hack'n shash type of vandal. I've recently found that the "spare" car doesn't actually have many of the promised spares in the tray. Lot's of stuff missing sadly, bolts being just the start of the list...

Cheers
