The picture doesn't look like a LRPV.
I wouldn't know what the LRPV's are worth. Tommy would be the best to comment.

The thread was deleted because it was seriously suspected that the person offering the vehicles was trolling for a rise out of one of our members.  Whether it was true or not, it wasn't worth the angst and disruption for the member or the rest of the forum.

IMHO I would leave the whole topic rest in peace.

Ahhh, I see. Thanks for that. When I originally started a thread about them on AULRO, I must have gotten 70 or 80 PMs about it, some of them quite cloak-and-dagger. It was a bit of an education and I've always wondered what happened to the cars. Oh well.

Wow, that's half a decade since I started that thread. I may finally make it up there for a visit this year . . . because the Rangie might actually be done this dry season!

Hi all,
I have verbally been given these vehicles by one of the "elders" but the finer details are still being thrashed out with the station manager.
I will be up there later this year to conclude the deal.
I have new pics and they are not in good knick with vegetation growing out of them and more bits missing.
The price to extract is also high.
I'll let you know more once I have been up there.

Ha ha, that must have taken some doing! Thanks for letting us know. It's not too wet down here - it's hardly rained but it's been very hot lately. And regardless of the weather, I can imagine just how difficult it will be to get them out of there. But that was always the idea since I was first told of them. It seemed such a shame that something couldn't be saved. I remember when the LRPVs were sold off. I went to look at one at a dealer's in Wangara.

Anyway, good luck with that and be sure to let us know how it all goes.
