According to the NSN number these winches were fitted to Perentie.
Does anyone know who manufactured these winches?

The company that manufactured them is an Australian company called Thomas winches, they changed their name to Winch Industries and then Powauto. They are now called Gears and Winches but I am sure they do not produce these winches anymore. The ones fitted to the 4x4 and 6x6 were a military specification designed from the current 8000lb pto and electric versions. They are a very strong worm geared self locking winch which will last you a lifetime if you keep it serviced properly.
