Info on Bamford 1968 PTO Winch Sought
« on: November 27, 2022, 07:45:58 PM »
Recently acquired Bamford PTO this in a job lot.
Seems there may be extra bits welded onto it - looking for info on what bits to remove.
Will then be looking to move it on (I have connecting shaft) - value?
Thanks guys ...

On the wheeler-dealer (TV program) the other day they fitted a winch to a series 3/2 land rover swb I didn't get the name of the winch in the RPS guide for ffr the instructions for fitting of the winch.

Here’s a copy of the Bamford winch manual 69,

https://remlr.com/forum/index.php?topic=4027.0

This should show the whole kit for the winch.

It has had an extra plate welded to it, no idea why?

Cheers,

Mike.

Thanks guys - that previous info and pdfs most helpful, thanks Mike.
So that off centre plate with 5 holes in it does not belong?
Little square plates with 4 holes left and right are original?

I would say so Andrew.

The square plates with the 4 holes mount onto the chassis where the bumper is bolted on.

That other plate looks like someone’s effort to mount the winch to something else? Not standard I would say.
