Hi Mick - What is the inside diameter please?  I have some small springs close to your length but I am just guessinbg the ID.  Failing that, I'd be happy to put the springs into the sonic cleaner with a very dilute vinegar and they will come up like new.    Cheers mate   STDDIVER
They are fragile and brittle. I don't think cleaning them will help.
Besides, I need to find replacements for those that have corroded to pieces.

If all else fails - try making your own.  Coiling the right size mild steel wire into the basic spring you want - then heat treating by either quenching in oil or water.  Can work for low load, minimal movement springs.

Hobby shops are always a good look for this type of thing - I have found lots of stuff in hobby shops that you cannot get anywhere else. Ball point click pens have been mentioned and I know you have checked but different pens have different sizes.

I am sure you have searched the web but maybe these links might have something that you have missed -

I had a bit of success today.
Going through boxes/bags/containers of bits looking for something unrelated, I found some springs. Seven of them. I have no idea how or why I have them.
The springs to be replaced, as best as I can measure, are 0.3mm wire thickness, 12mm long by 2.56mm diameter.
The ones I have found are slightly smaller, 0.3mm wire thickness, 10.75mm long by 2.35mm diameter.
They might work. I'll give them a go.

The question now is, why did I have them?
