Wanted ACCO MK3 Bows And Workshop canopy frame
« on: March 13, 2022, 08:25:52 PM »
Just thought I’d put it back out there,

Still keen to track down a set of canopy bows (or even one good one as a pattern) for my ACCO Mk3 and also a set of workshop trailer or Rover canopy frame in any condition at all

Cheers

Hey Phil  I can take dimensions if you like.  I might have a set of sides with a bit of minor rust but useable - Let me know your thoughts?  STDDIVER

Hello again mate,

I’m sure there will be something lying around somewhere.

I could use a tailgate, a better LHR (or RHF) side and of course I still do not have any side posts at all.

Cheers

when i am in Brisbane i will look for a phot of platform trailer with dimensions on it
the main bars was 32 mm pipe with crossovers of 16 mm. there were many variants include some fitted with cages / sheeted in with ply or aluminium sheeting.

A while ago, I scored a few Mk3 bows.
I am in the process of making some for myself.
You can still buy the correct sized tube. The bends cost me $30 per hoop. I just have to weld some loops to tie the canopy to and then cut to size. Not a difficult job if you can weld (I cannot).
