that clears it up beautifully. I never think of the UK sites 'cos I always think ours is a bit unique. Working on Oil Pressure now - not much hair left!!

Thks Mike.

Well I got her running in time for ANZAC Day in Kilcoy, Qld. Issue with brakes but overcame that, oil pressure at sender is good but will now sort out why it is not reading at the gauge. Also found an issue with the 4WD not disengaging so just removed the front drive shaft for the day to prevent transmission lockup. It appears to a simple adjustment but will climb under during next week.

Great to see it finally on the road again, terrific.

A few minor gremlins are fairly standard at this point!

Thanks Mike,

Txmn turned out to be a cracked selector bracket on the outside of the transfer case so relatively easy to fix. handbrake was over adjusted (my fault) so now good. The only issues are no reading at the Oil pressure gauge so tearing my hair on that one & bleeding the brakes (again). Bit of a noise from the spigot bearing, I should have replaced that while the gearbox was out but can live with that. Drove well, the Qld Police were impressed, did not mind no rego but had "plates" on it showing the original ARN.

good to old vehicle from the School of Artillery I believe it was the quick response vehicle for the bush fire threat at North Head.

Sorry for the late reply - good to know some of the history of this vehicle glbest. Does anyone have a photo of the front brake slave cylinders installed, LR have done my head in with the bleed nipple being at the lower slave cylinder NOT allowing air to bleed to the highest point.
