2Aworkshop 1971
« on: November 05, 2022, 11:22:05 PM »
It has been some time since i have been on this site , sold my great perentie and went to the dark side. Not really however for sentimental reasons i bought an ex Nor Force Toyota Troop Carrier, fantastic vehicle (i drove them when i was with the Pilbara Regiment) i recently sold it to a bloke that wants to put it into a landcruiser collection he has. So now after owning several Landrover and International Army vehicles I am thinking about a 2A workshop unit, so I was wondering what a 2A workshop in good condition would be worth these days. Would appreciate your thoughts, i noticed that JUDDY sold one a few years back. there is something about a 2A. Thanks JohnO

There was one on Facebook for about $15 000 a couple of weeks ago. Unlicenced, not running but looked to have straight panels and most of the original bits on it. I thought the asking-price was reasonable.

The seller was greeted with howls of derision and the post was locked, so I don't know if it sold.

General opinion on FB is that a licenced, running Series is worth at least $20 000,

Thanks  Charlie,  I am just keeping an eye out for a good 2A preferably an Army vehicle. Appreciate your info, I didn’t realise they were that valuable. A couple of years ago I sold my GS PERENTIE with power steering, CB, am fm radio etc for $16000, they are worth a lot more today. However with the way things are heading in the world I think values may come down. Thanks JohnO.

I think you may be correct. The auction house I follow, seems to indicate that prices are falling,
