New Member and Workshop
« on: October 11, 2020, 01:51:25 AM »
Just wanted to say hi and post some pics of my Workshop which I have had for about 12 months - it's still working hard on my farm in the southern forests of WA.  Since purchasing this I have done a fair bit of work on what was a clean and relatively rust free car - it has some conveniences which help out in its new duties including series 3 gearbox, parabolics on the front, relay for the headlights, tyre mount in the rear tub, Smiths Flat heater for defrost, and some serious rubber. The bull bar has been resprayed in a zinc coat.  A capstan winch will be fitted shortly.
The Workshop is a 4/71 dated vehicle, contract # V114821, and census 6238.  If anyone has any details on the vehicles history, where it was stationed, etc would be gratefully received
Cheers!

Many thanks for this info.  This is interesting as the census number is different than what is recorded on the info plate on the seat box.  Looking at the 6238 description it looks to be a workshop with no platform, so maybe it was turned into the 6032 lubrication/service unit after this generic original delivery?  I've attached pictures of this plate, plus there is a small plate mounted above the servicing data plate which states a date of 16/6/71, "Command - STH", and mileage of 12.  Maybe that's the date when it was delivered to it's first service and the miles that were on it at the time, after which it was converted to the 6032?

thanks again!
