Dual Cab Unimogs
« on: October 11, 2020, 02:37:32 AM »
A question for the auction watchers: have the Army's dual-cab Unimog U1700L trucks been sold yet?

Thanks

Mike

Thanks Trebor110 - yes, there were six in total, so quite a rare version.

Thanks for the info - very helpful.

Yes, GLB, at Pucka. My problem now is I am unable to locate the images I took of one, so was unable to pin a number plate 'block' to them. Rob solved that.

Just soooo frustrating to know I took several images but must have mis-filed them. With my luck, they might never emerge from the envelopes!!

FYI
The six double cabs (DOKA) are as follows
ARN 46-476 this is on display at the Army museum Bandiana.
ARN 46-477 this is on display as gate guardian at Pukapunyal
ARN 46-478 sold at auction June 2020
ARN 46-479 sold at auction Feb 2020
ARN 46-480 I can?t yet confirm the ARN, believed to be awaiting disposal
ARN 46-481 sold at auction March 2023 (accident damaged, also used as a training aid)

Ps, I now own 46-481 (awaiting delivery from auction).
