I have recently acquired a series 2 Command Reconnaissance Chassis Number 143900304 engine number 1519908716 and was interested to know if anyone knew it's history

 :) Hi Simon, that chassis number is in the Big Blue Book of ARNs as "110-838". The engine number is the original. It is posted as a "Victoria" delivery when supplied new.

I looked in my collection of photos but no luck - I do have a pic of 110-836 at the Army Apprentice School which has a similar auction date.

Your 110-838 was auctioned into civvy street in July 1968.

There may be more info in other documents but the BBB info is all I have for that one.
