Thanks for the photos Chief  :)

Does this fire tender have a 'civilian' history from around the Penrith area or is it on display simply because it is a fire tender? From the red paint overspray on the chassis, it appears to have had a tidy-up rather than a full restoration. Either way, it looks remarkably complete and in very good condtion.

To be honest Tommy i'm not sure, it may have been used at DEOH at some stage, or it may have been bought straight out of the Army by the museum, Next time i'm there i'll ask some questions about it.

I visited the Museum several years ago - and was told it was given to the Museum straight from the Army........... as it is in great condition including its complette stowage...............
