« on: September 01, 2020, 08:21:16 PM »
replaced bushes. Cant get the front radius arms in place. i raised vehicle on hoist with all wheels removed.  I can get the second  bolt lined up & inserted  but not the  front bolt . Not even close..

tried jack but the new bushes a tad too wide catching on the housing causing the housing to raise. any suggestions?

Maybe there's a special tool involved or something.

Here's the parts diagram:

https://remlr.com/wiki-files/REMLR-dot-com-slash-wiki-perentie-4x4-rps1988-p208-NA-suspension-front-springs-and-shock-absorbers-and-arms-and-rod-and-mounts.pdf

I looked at Army instructions from 2008 all about welding on the Arm and it mentions size differences that could be involved. See attached pdf files. Maybe your Arms have been "reclaimed" using this method and are therefore causing interference you are experiencing. Something to checkout/rule out at least.

This EMEI file is 2014, says a balljoint remover is a Special Tool :) but again refers to plating up the radius arm mounts. see item 89.

Easier to do them on the ground instead of a hoist. Undo all the bolts, lever the rod out of the axle brackets, turn it sideways and withdraw it out of the chassis mount. Reverse for installation. As mentioned make sure your bushes are the correct width as there are 2 size bushes. The ones you should have are NTC7307.
