Because it has 13" wheels and with that indicator lens, that dates it at late '68 or '69.

If the 13" wheels (originally 10"?) was an army mod, it would be a '66 to '68. Possibly a trials vehicle.

What does the TAC tell us?

Hello Mick,

We had the odd Moke in one or two transport units I served in and they were never fitted with all that crap  someone has added to the one in the pics. It is described as ex ADF so I think someone has tried to make it look 'warry'

The RAAF had a small fleet as well and were the last users of the type.

Considered a bit of a joke in service -we used to be able to lift them up with a few blokes and move them into unlikely places after friday night drinks at the boozer...

The Formation sign of 6th Aust Inf Div of WW2-vintage gives it away ('roo over boomerang), and a poor rendition at that.

Someone's tarted up a 'Tinny Joke' to look like a military vehicle, even if it was ex-ADF as claimed.

There were a number of different diffs used or 10", 12" and 13" wheels. There were more than 10 different ratios.

the fire station at enoggerra barracks had a moke prior to closing down in1986 some of the flying squadrons at raaf amb had them for airside movements
