Upper shock bush source ?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some upper shock bushes for Mk3 & Mk4 ?

I have some lower bushes but the large round upper type are chewed out and need replacing as well.

Hi Phil.
I think your best bet is to go to the Superpro website, https://www.superpro.com.au/bush-sizing, and see what they have that's close. From the RPS, it looks like it may be a Pin Mount Type Bushing.
I just ordered 16 bushings off them to replace the ones that support and align the transfer case. They usually sell a kit with 2 like I need and 2 others without the flange, but I rang them and they got me 16 with the flanges. Easy to deal with too.
Now I just have to work out how to make the steel cups that the bushings sit in

I'll post up a pic, part number and measurements when they get here, a week earlier than I was expecting.
Pretty sure there was only one measurement that was different from the originals, and its one I can simply trim down or use a longer bolt.
Its those metal cups that the rubbers sit in that are going to be trouble.
I considered turning up a die and former to use in my press to shape new ones. If I can work that out, I'm happy to make them for anyone who needs them.
Besides, its another excuse to buy a lathe.

I received a very prompt and polite email back to advise that they don't stock the bushes as such, but can supply a solid 'bar' of the right material to be turned diwn on a lathe.

I will keep searching for now and keep it in mind if I can't do any good
