I hope you have a bit of luck on your hunt.  What you want to find  is a pranged or written off perentie. In a few it may not be such a problem, there wiil be more wrecks around.

They have been removed in almost every RFSV I have looked at. Not sure why they removed them. It’s missing in mine so if you find several in your search let me know and I will get one too

Will do guys. I know this stuff can be difficult to find but if it’s out there someone might see/hear/remember where one was available at some point. Will try BRitish Off-road on Monday. If I find some I will let you know Boxy.

Any chance of a picture to make sure I’m getting the correct plate?

British Offroad can get them new if anyone is chasing one. I got one which they ordered in from their supplier and it only took 3 days from ordering to my door.

I have attached the service data plate.  Not a good photo as it was hard to block the sunlight on it.
Ignore the faint black numbers next to the tyre pressures, I added the converted PSI tyre pressures with alabel maker as I understand them better than Kpa.

Check the mod plate on your RFSV before putting oil in swivel pin housings per the service data plate (like I did) , mod number 31 shows the mod to convert them to grease.  They run fine on oil but are more likely to leak when you are off road than grease, the updated manuals also advise to use a type of grease.

cheers David

Thanks David that’s great. Do you have a PTO winch on your RFSV?

Yes, I believe all the RFSV's came with PTO winches, I have never had to use it in the last 3 or so years though.  I have only tested it once in my front yard but not under any load.  I've been meaning to give it a run for ages.
cheers

Did you notice the different part number on the plate provided. HYG4 something.

Boxy I received plate HYG3002 - it has the PTO listed on it. HYG4744 doesnt list a PTO. There are a few differences between the plates including rear tyre pressures and transfer case oil (Castrol FMX or OMD115)

I am not sure which is meant to be on there or if the RFSV's had different ones fitted during their lives. I chose the one with the PTO on it as it seemed legit at the time.

Please someone who knows correct me if I am wrong as it has not been fitted yet.

Sam.

Ok i am an idiot! I just looked at the vehicle again and realised i was looking at the wrong plate. I am missing the service plate as well. It looks like the shipping plate has been moved up or is the service plate supposed to be below the shipping plate? In any case i am in the market for one as well.

I looked at the auction photos for a few of the RFSV's sold and some sold at auction with part HYG3002, some with HYG4744 and some with no plate so I wouldn't be worried about attaching your plate.  (Eg 51-636 May91 came with HYG3002 and 50-417 July1991 came with HYG4744)
I have attached a pic of the HYG3002 plate on 51-636 also showing the data plate showing it was on a RFSV
regards

It seems even HYG 3002 plates differ between new and old.
