Fuel tank sender
« on: June 03, 2019, 05:57:06 PM »
G'day Fellas,
Sorry if I might be covering an old topic but can anyone help with how to remove the fuel tank sender.  I see the low level sender has srews for removal but the fuel sender does not.  I have two dodgy ones.
Are they repairable or am I up for new ones.
Cheers Rob

The two types I have came across in 4x4 GS, RFVS and 6x6 are the 1/4 turn similar to a bayonet fit and normal VDO screw mount, the later I much prefer because it is much easier to make a seal, also there are some VDO screw mounts that have a sandwich plate, where you don't remove the screws just loosen them, the internal sandwich plate has indents so you can then maneuver the sender to remove it from the tank.

Thanks Yerriyong I will try giving it a 1/4 turn. I might take a photo.
