Wanted 1950's/60's dated D*D jerry can.
« on: November 27, 2018, 07:46:49 PM »
I'm looking for a D*D marked Jerry can to go in my 2a GS. Preferably 1950's to mid 60's dated.

I'm in the UK but happy to pay postage etc.

Thanks,
Matt.

Anyone who knows better please advise.
I was told D D marked Jerry cans were only made in 1957, 1958 and 1959.   Prior to that I assumed Australia used British W D marked Jerry cans, and after 1959 Jerry cans that were unmarked except for the year mark.
I have also seen round petrol tins from the 1940's made in South Australia with D of D markings but not jerry cans.
cheers David
