vehicle serging
« on: January 28, 2019, 12:09:46 PM »
While I am asking for advice my RFSV seems to have a bit of a serging issue. Fuel I suspect. So I intend to replace the fuel filter, clean the injector pump filter and drain the CAV water traps (i assume they are not filters). Is there anything else i should be doing ??

Ref the water trap... Mine had a build up of sludge inside when I took it off. It's probably a good idea to clean it out once in a while :)

Good luck.

That fine gauze filter inside the banjo bolt on the inlet side of the fuel lift pump is usually the culprit.

Thanks I will give it a try.
By the way the CAV water traps under the vehicle Are they filters or just water traps?

303 Gunner
I should also admit I am an idiot! I asked a similar question in 2016. Seems the older I get the more memory play me. Sorry for the trouble
